Hi everyone,
Join me for a special drawing session with illustrator and sketchbook artist Helen C Stark! We will explore seasonal images from our homes in Haarlem, Netherlands, and Doncaster, England. You might enjoy listening to an excellent podcast by English Heritage about a fascinating painting that has made its way from Haarlem to Doncaster. We’ll start with a few quick masterstudies of Jan Wijnants paintings. We will then create our own sketches inspired by our local landscapes. Bring your preferred art materials. All skill levels are welcome and encouraged! We look forward to seeing you there.
A Little About Helen
Helen C Stark is a a French-Irish illustrator, artist and teacher, living in South Yorkshire, UK. She is passionate about heritage, the seasons and noticing little moments we take for granted. Her Substack is called The Time Foragers’ Club - which celebrates the seasons and playfully creating together, offering different content like co-creating and co-journaling sessions, behind-the-scenes and more.
