March - Art inspiration : Playing with scale
Drawing dates and inspiration to get you started
This month, we look at scale—what happens when I create artwork in a larger or smaller format? We generally tend to stick to the familiar formats of A4 or A5, but so much more is possible, and letting the size speak for itself helps us express a work better.
One of my art goals for 2025 is to work larger, so I am currently working on A2 on an easel. It's quite an adjustment because your work will look different when you use the same materials but blow it up, so to speak. I will discuss this in a future video post.
What format do you like to work on? And what format would suit your work well? Could you experiment a bit? Share it below in the comments. I'm curious which formats are preferred so I can return to them in my videos if necessary!
