March theme: Holland in the Spring
Drawing dates and inspiration to get you started
This month, our theme is Holland in the Spring. Although many flowers are not of Dutch origin (the tulip, for example, comes from Kazakhstan), the Netherlands is known for its abundance of flowers and also for the trade in them. People even ate tulip bulbs during food shortages in World War II.
The garden at my parents' house always sprang up early in spring with snowdrops, crocuses, daffodils, and hyacinths. This year they’re coming up again, it's time to draw spring!
