WHAT IS THE CREATIVE COCOON?
Hello and welcome! The Creative Cocoon is an art club where we focus on fun topics each month inspired by nature and the seasons. I share how I create my art, and we work together to inspire and encourage each other. We make art in our little cocoon, a safe space to create both beautiful and bad art (although in my opinion there is no bad art - only process), experiment and make comfort drawings.

A typical month in the Creative Cocoon:
Week 1 – Inspiration
I’ll share images and videos to inspire you for the month (art from other artists or beautiful things, to help get our creativity flowing!)
Week 2 – Exploration
I’ll post a video showing my art process, a sketchbook tour, a creative exercise, or a test of new materials. If you have something you'd like to see, just let me know by messaging me or commenting on a post!
Week 3 – Drawing Together
We’ll have our monthly Zoom call, where we draw together. At the end, you can share your artwork (only if you want to!) and show any other pieces you’ve made this month using the reference images or other inspiration.
Week 4 – Results
I’ll post a timelapse of either my artwork from the Zoom session or another piece, with some thoughts on the process.
Bonus
Since I’m a 200% kind of person, I often do extra things! We might have a bonus Co-Sketching Session; there might be a workshop with a guest artist, and I could share extra artwork or show you new material to try!
