The Creative Cocoon is an art club for anyone who wants to slow down, observe the natural world, and make beautiful things.
A warm corner of the internet for people who want to draw more, worry less, and find their way back to nature — one sketch at a time. We paint flowers, plants, birds, and the quiet details of the seasons — together, at a gentle pace, with no pressure and no performance.
I’m Pauline, the artist behind La Scarlatte.
I draw and paint nature—flowers, animals, quiet landscapes—often with a lot of detail and mixed media. It’s the kind of work that takes time, attention, and a love for small things.
But that’s not how it always starts.
Most days, it starts with:
a blank page, a bit of hesitation, and the feeling that maybe I’ve forgotten how to draw.
If you’ve ever felt that too, you’re in the right place.
Why this space exists
I created this space because I wanted something I couldn’t quite find elsewhere: a way to draw that feels calm, slow, and human
Not focused on perfection.
Not rushed.
Not intimidating.
Just… showing up, making something, and enjoying the process again.

The art club
Inside the art club, we draw together.
Sometimes it’s simple:
a 10-minute sketch, a small study, a gentle warm-up
Sometimes it’s more detailed:
layered pieces, mixed media, taking our time with something we love
But it’s always:
at your own pace
without pressure
and with room for imperfect, in-progress work
You don’t need to be “good at drawing.”
You don’t need special materials.
You can start exactly where you are.
