It can be any sponge, right? So you probably already have one unused in a cupboard somewhere, waiting for you 😊

Loved watching this with my morning coffee! I ordered some acrylic gouache yesterday and can’t wait to try it out now 😄

You mentioned you might make a future video on pencils - if you have any recommendations for opaque pencils that sit on top of other media I’d love to learn more 💫

Would love to hear your thoughts on the acrylic gouache, and how you would dispose of the paint in a sustainable way. There are some guidelines on the Jackson blog pages, but I find my brushes get full of paint and I have to wash them under the sink, otherwise they dry up hard and are basically not the same. It is so lovely to work with though.

And I’ll definitely give recommendations about the use of pencils on mixed media, I’ll test about 10 different kinds of pencils!

Absolutely, I’ll let you know how it goes! I’m hoping to use the same process as now, just letting things sink to the bottom of my water and wipe out the majority of pigment, but there’s always a little that goes down the drain… more research to do ☺️ooooh exciting stuff, looking forward to it!

Lately I created more painterly with lots of water involved and veeeery messy ,but I think I will try them over dried goauche and watercolour paintings to add more detail. Thanks for sharing tips and inspiring us!

Messy is great! I'd actually like to do messy paintings a bit more, it really allows us to loosen up and not worry too much about the outcome. Happy creating!

Did you ever use Natural Earth Paint: Natural Acrylik Paint? Don't see artists on Substack using this kind of paint but I consider to buy it.

Hi.. great video. I think i use most of the supplies you mentioned too. I've been drooling over the neocolor 2 but they are out of my budget at the moment 😫.

Don't use much gouche but may give it a try.

I just wanted to give you a contact for Seawhite paper. I use the Watercolour books and journals and also found this website. I have a sneaky feeling it may be an outlet fur the company in Brighton. I've been meaning to ring them. . Anyway you might want to look around their website. https://www.artesaver.co.uk/Catalogue/SURFACES-MOUNTING/Papers/Watercolour-and-Printing-Paper

you can buy neocolor2 separately and there are smaller sets as well.I understand you,as I waited for my family to give the set to me for Christmas but then I discovered the individual ones and now I can restore my favourite colours. I use them very much and really recommend trying 3 or 4
