SO lovely to see you on screen! WHAT AN AMAZING studio space, I LOVE the way you have decorated it with your daughter! SO lovely! Love everything about this post, looking forward to enjoying your sketchbook tour with a hot coffee. x
Thanks Raj! It used to be our bedroom, but it is one of the biggest rooms in the house, and who needs a big bedroom when you're mostly just in your bed? So I confiscated the place and dubbed it the studio 😄
Thanks so much Carolien, and since you’re the 5th person to comment, I’m gifting you a month for free! Enjoy all of the archived content and our posts this month, and maybe I’ll see you at one of our drawing sessions ✨
Aww that’s amazing news, I can’t wait to watch your videos and I know I will enjoy them so much, so exciting. Thank you so much for your generosity, so kind and thoughtful of you. ❤️
Good morning Pauline, enchantée de faire connaissance 🥰
You have a beautiful surname, the one of my late mother, named after « La valse Pauline » or « Pauline Mazurka » 😊
I am also very happy to meet you, your daughter and your cat. Your studio is very inviting and Fall or Autumn is my very favorite season here. The forest will soon be completely red and yellow and it’s pure joy. I am a mother of three and a happy grandmother of 7 children, all of them from 4 to 19 years old and everybody is drawing, painting and playing piano.
I am looking forward to follow your posts, I am discovering you on YouTube at the same time. I rarely subscribe because the cost of life is very high but I want to encourage you, you seems very sympathetic and a « natural one », besides: I love botanicals and mixed media, I now have more time to draw, sketch and paint.
Have a great day and I will check the timetable to be able to catch your « directs » because here I am six hours behind.
Hi Christiane, I’m so happy to have you here and I’m looking forward to draw with you! How wonderful to have so many grandchildren to draw and paint and make music with!
Let me know if the drawing dates are at times that work for you, I’m trying to schedule them at times where almost all members can join but you never know, suggestions are welcome :) And also, if you have suggestions for videos, don’t hesitate to send me a message!
So nice to see you and your lovely studio!! I’m still finding my feet here at Substack and it’s very inspiring to see all you’re doing here. I love the Familiar prompt for October, I too am feeling witchy:)
I’d love to know more about SEO, I’m a Luddite and have never programmed my website for it ( I know, it’s terrible!!)
Love everything you share with us, thank you friend! Xx
Thanks so much Helen, I actually already liked your first posts so much that I'm now a paid, member, can't wait to see your upcoming posts :-)
SEO is new to me too, it's almost like how did we survive without it haha! YouTube has been really helpful too, and most websites have an integrated section for SEO nowadays. But I feel like I should have done it when I started my website, and not afterwards, because now it's a very repetative job to put in all of the SEO information....
And I'm so glad you're into the familiar prompt because you're the 3rd to comment here and as promised, I've gifted you a month free to explore this Substack, all of the archive is now unlocked for you - maybe we'll see you in the drawing session? 😊 X!
!! You made my day to hear you’re enjoying the newsletter. Thank you ever so much for being a paid subscriber, Pauline I feel honored to have you here, truly.
Oh man, yep, I never did it either. I have no idea where to start there, will need to do some researching.
What a treat to be gifted. I’ll need to look at your upcoming classes, that would be fun:) xxx
Thank you for this perfect welcome to your studio, yourself and to Autumn . The ways that you embrace the season encourages me to appreciate the lovely sensory offerings of the season. Walking is more pleasant without heat and insects too ! I love how you and your daughter transform your working space in such a magical way !
Thanks Heather! I must admit that decorating together makes it even nicer - and having a 6 year old means we can pull out all the stops and leave no corner undecorated 😅
What a lovely welcome video!! I am not a big fan of October tbh, I always want to start prepping for Xmas and New Year right after the summer 🤣 But I really love how you and your daughter decorated your studio space!! It gave me some inspiration, now that I am about to reset my space. May be I can embrace a tiny bit of autumn after all 😅 Btw there are many "mushroom enthusiasts" in my family too!
Maybe I'm really into autumn because we have all kinds of other celebrations coming up before Christmas.- St Martins (it's a bit like Halloween), Sinterklaas (the Dutch version of Santa but on the 5th of December)...so many things haha
And it really helps to decorate my space a bit to feel like home! But you can also skip autumn and just decorate it for Christmas - it's your space, so your rules ;-)
Nice to see you Pauline 😊 and your studio is beautiful and ready for the coziness of Autumn (my favourite season) 🧡 P.S.- Tommie is super cute!
Tommie is mischievous 😏 but he compensates it with fluffy cuteness
