Replay - Meditative Drawing

A drawing session with Beth Spencer / Introvert Drawing Club
1

Thanks to everyone who joined our session yesterday!

And thanks so much for hosting with me

❤️

In this session, we took our time to observe. I guided people through a meditative exercise where we really looked at our subject and relaxed into it.

For me, drawing can be a form of meditation. I can get into flow state, drawing details, and filtering out all of the background noise. It calms me down, helps me focus. And observation is key! Take your time with the whole process, don’t rush. You deserve some time to relax.

To follow up on Beth, who made a list for

of her six favourite Derwent Inktense Pencils, here are mine:

  1. Bark (for juicy dark lines)

  2. Fern (for all those pretty fresh greens)

  3. Sun Yellow (for golden flower hearts)

  4. Poppy Red (well I just love poppies)

  5. Oak (for beautiful tree shapes)

  6. Baked Earth (purrfect for foxes, other animals and autumn leaves)

Mentioned in the session:

If you haven’t signed up for the
