I used to be someone who is on top of things. I love lists, and I work through them. I start an artwork, I plan it out, and I finish it. At least, before I became a mother:) Before I had to juggle my time, before I had pregnancy brain, before....oh well, there are so many excuses, but the question is; to what extent are they valid? :)
The bottom line is that I don't always finish things these days. So I have a half-finished scarf I started crocheting in the fall for my partner, a dollhouse that I wanted to redecorate with my daughter but is still stuck in the renovation phase, a ceramic vase for my mother’s birthday (her birthday was in October) still on the shelf, several half-finished paintings, and a gigantic mountain of sketchbooks waiting to be filled up completely.

So instead of showing you one half-finished painting In this video, I will show you a bunch of my sketchbooks (which also include many drawings that are finished by the way:) and larger artworks, and a little tour through the chaos that is my present reality.

Do you experience the same, leaving things because your head isn't in it, you lose interest in them, or it's not worth finishing anymore? Do you ever get back to those works of art?
Ultimately, it's all a process; you need it to move forward, so it can never be a bad thing. But it would be nice to have something finished at some point. Hopefully, next month, I'll have a video titled ‘All the things I finished’ 😅
