Since several people had questions about how I draw bird feathers without making them look flat, I recorded this timelapse for you. I watched the replay of
‘Birds and Nests’ via her Patreon and used 2 of her reference photos to draw.
Since I hadn't drawn in my ‘square’ sketchbook in a while (watch the video showing the whole sketchbook here), I thought, that's where I'll start. When I draw a nest I don’t feel the pressure to make it perfect, as it can have all kinds of shapes and as much or as little detail as you want.
